breathe's chosen charity benefits from sportsmans dinner

A cheque for £1,700 was presented to Mike Bird of the breathe group last week at the first Sporting Club Dinner of 2003.

the breathe group was the headline sponsor of the previous dinner, and provided prizes for the raffle, donated a new office chair for auction and helped encourage diners to give money for its nominated charity - Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Guest speakers were Alex Hayes (Golf Commentator), with David Duckham MBE, the Clubs’ managing director and organiser, providing the keynote speech.

‘As the promoter of these events, I am pleased that the members and guests are so generous in support of such charities, and of the local community as a whole’ said David. ‘Our thanks again go to breathe for donating the prizes and helping raise this amount of cash for such as worthwhile cause.’

The Cambridge Sporting Club is a member of The Southern Sporting Clubs Limited and provides high quality dinners for those who enjoy the fellowship of sport, good food, good company and good entertainment. The dinners are an opportunity for members to entertain clients and network with associates.
